A note on the ARC: ================== When I first discovered the Art Renewal Center’s site during research, they had 17 Lefebvre pictures. I used reduced size copies of their images in my webpages, giving full credit to the ARC as the source. This is the academic convention when quoting from the work of others, not to do so is considered plagiarism. In 2005 the ARC discovered my site and took copies of many Lefebvre images they did not have. There is no law against copying public domain pictures, but they did not return the courtesy of crediting my site as the source. To date they have still failed to do this, even though they gave an undertaking to do so when I contacted them about it in 2005. The ARC remains an excellent resource for art lovers, in spite of my personal disappointment with them. Webmaster theARTwerx, December 2007.
